Sharing Knowledge: Difference between laser cooling current and laser bias curre
|
Laser Cooling Current: External cooling equipment should be provided to keep the temperature stable for a laser to work. The laser cooling current shows the working status of cooling equipment or circuit.
Laser Bias Current: In a cooling optical module that adopts the automatic level control (ALC) function, the laser is aged after long-term operation and thus the laser emitting efficiency decreases. To ensure constant output optical power, the laser bias current, an index that reflects the laser aging degree, needs to be increased.
