Trunk test procedure

1.         This procedure applies for HTSS only, not to be applied at HMSS. In HTSS, give command LST N7TG to find the designated HTMW.

2.         Select a proper short code. We follow this convention:

9991 & 9992: TSS1

9993 & 9994: TSS2

9995 & 9996: TSS3

3.         Send this short code from your test Ericsson MSC/MSS to directly that HTMW via other ETSS if necessary.

4.         In HTSS, define your short code, e.g. 9995, as a special number. Select proper DN Set.

ADD CNACLD: P=2, PFX=K9995, CSTP=TEST, CSA=SPFXT, MINL=4, MAXL=32, SDESCRIPTION="trunktestnumber";

These two parameters are important.

SERVICE CATEGORY= TEST

SERVICE ATTRIBUTE= SPFXT (Special number prefix test)

5.         Add a number change formatter that changes all numbers.

ADD DNC: DCN="DIALTEST", DCT=TYPE12, ND=K987654321;

Select the parameters as follows:

NUMBER CHANGE OPTION= TYPE12 (Change all)

NEW NUMBER= 8801199884577 (This number should be the one that NIC provided)

6.         Tag this number change formatter to an entry of Auxiliary Number Processing table.

ADD AIDNUMPRO: CSCNAME="ALL", NUMTY=TY8, P=2, PFX=K9995, CDN="DIALTEST";

Select the parameters as follows:

CALL SOURCE NAME= ALL

NUMBER TYPE= TY8 (Trunk test number)

DN SET= 0 or 2 (give proper DN Set)

NUMBER PREFIX= 9995 (give the short code)

NUMBER CHANGE NAME= DIALTEST (this is the one that has been created in the  last step)

7.         Add an entry to CNACLD table for the particular test number to the designated destination. Create RT and RTANA in the usual way if they are already not created.

ADD CNACLD: P=2, PFX=K987654321, CSA=MLC, RSNAME="RSN of TSS to other operator route", MINL=13, MAXL=13, ICLDTYPE=PS;

These two parameters are important here:

SERVICE ATTRIBUTE= MLC (PLMN Local MSC)

CALLED NUMBER TYPE= PS (PSTN)

8.         Find theOFFICE NAMEandOPCof the designated route from the commandLST N7TG(giveDISPLAY OFFICE DIRECTION= YES). This can also be found fromLST OFCTKCbut the office name should be known beforehand.

9.         Test the trunk call scenario by calling two or three calls yourself.

ADD TKTEST: TKID=1, CLIN=K123456789, CLDN=K987654321, DID=ISUP, ON="<office name>", SOPC="<0032D2>", SCIC=2000, ECIC=2010, S=3, ATF=NO;

Select the parameters as follows:

TEST TASK ID= Use a number that has not been used, check printout of LST TKTEST

CALLER NUMBER =Give your number

CALLED NUMBER= This should be the test number

CIRCUIT TYPE= ISUP

OFFICE NAME= Found in previous step

SOURCE SIGNALING POINT CODE= Found in previous step

START CIC= Starting CIC number

END CIC= End CIC number

STEP= The step number to select CICs for your subsequent calls to the short code.

10.    Start user message trace in the TSS you worked, select PSTN and give your number . Dial the short code. Open the outgoing IAM message (blue one) and check the OPC and DPC and selected CIC, this should be the starting CIC given in previous step. Dial again and open the new outgoing IAM and check the CIC again to confirm that it is the one found by step number + starting CIC given in previous step.

COMPLETE DT:

ADD CNACLD: P=2, PFX=K9995, CSTP=TEST, CSA=SPFXT, MINL=4, MAXL=32, SDESCRIPTION="trunktestnumber";

ADD DNC: DCN="DIALTEST", DCT=TYPE12, ND=K987654321;

ADD AIDNUMPRO: CSCNAME="ALL", NUMTY=TY8, P=2, PFX=K9995,

CDN="DIALTEST";

ADD CNACLD: P=2, PFX=K987654321, CSA=MLC, RSNAME="T22W23-GTBG07",

 MINL=13, MAXL=13, ICLDTYPE=PS;

ADD TKTEST: TKID=1, CLIN=K123456789, CLDN=K987654321, DID=ISUP,

 ON="<office name>", SOPC="<0032D2>", SCIC=2000, ECIC=2010,

 S=3, ATF=NO;
