Each CE5800 switch provides 48*GE line-speed ports, which facilitates future data center expansion and it is the first GE access switch to provide 40GE uplink ports which can work with CE12800 switches to build a high-performance data center network that provides 40GE access. CE5800 switches deliver the industry’s first 16-member stack system and use 10GE/40GE ports as stack ports for long-distance and large capacity stacking.

CE5800 switches also support TRILL (Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links), a standard IETF protocol to support flexible service deployment. CE5800 switches are of flexible front-to-rear/rear-to-front ventilation channel design and innovative energy-saving technologies to help reduce operation and maintenance costs and contribute towards a greener data center. Finally, CE5800 switches optimize indicators and maintenance design to make the operation and maintenance simple and convenient.
