Understanding load balancing carried between 32 routes

Case:
A device establishes indirect neighbors with 32 other devices through loopback interfaces. The iteration of 32 IGP routes is implemented on each loopback interface. Each neighbor imports a route with the same prefix. The load balancing mode is configured on this device. The number of routes working in load balancing mode is specified in the load balancing PAF entry of the RM. The number of routes working in load balancing mode delivered to the FIB is determined by the load balancing PAF entries of both the RM and FIB. The number of PAF entries of both the RM and FIB must be 32.


In view of the routing layer, 1024 next hops can be iterated. However, only a maximum of 32 next hops can be delivered to the FIB. Redundant next hops cannot be processed although these active routes are successfully iterated.
