The role of SCC board for overhead process as follows：

 

The overheads are DCC bytes of the OSC (optical supervisor channel) signals, GCC bytes of the ESC (Electrical supervisor channel) signals, OTS overhead, OMS overhead, OCh overhead etc.

 

1. SCC board receives the overheads from service boards.

2. The CPU of SCC board processes the overheads and sends them back to the service boards

3. The service boards send the overheads to other sites.
