This helps me to search and understnad the products not only belongs to my NWBL. Helps to me understnad other BL products like u2000,utraffic;

 

Some of documentations are in chm / doc format... i feel better access all information in hdx format. other format requires downloading...most time download is not required...just browsing is sufficient. For browsing hdx format is excellant one..

Had given some technical feedback on hdx and the team is responding and correcting ASAP. Have given for CX600 and NE40E.

Target : In the planning phase of URP product I was in need for some design tool

Information About that design tool :

-          - Full Tool Name wasn’t available.

-          - Tool Version Wasn’t  available

I had to Estimate some Key words .

- Task 1 :

A-     Conduct Search & Obtain Related Information:

In this stage , I didn’t have so much details. When I asked my colleague about this tool He just answered ‘Ok dude J , It is a designer tool & I think I used a version released in 2014’

This Above answer  was  very poor ( No Exact Tool Name , No Version ) , Nothing more than the  product name (URP 6600 ) & the keyword ( design , project )

B-      Click Search to Obtain related information :

In (http://support.huawei.com/ ) Home page , I typed Product Name  ‘URP6600’ , As you can see below Once I wrote the product name , Huawei support suggested the  full path (Layers) to the product ( Red Box ) :

Then I Typed the Only 3 keywords I have :  (URP6600) (Project) (Design)

                     

C-  Search & Install  :

After locating the product (Tips of filtering & Locating is explained clearly in Task 3 ).

, I got the below results :  

  

-   -  Task 2  :

       Collect Search Results & obtain Quickly obtain your required documents :

-         -  For Easy Download , As shown above  The search engine offered both the Software file & the related documents both in one page.

Click on  You will be offered two methods to download :

-         -  Common download : Traditional way to download by your browser ( Normal Speed )

-         -  High Speed Download : New way to download by your Hedex Lite ( Faster ) ( Recommended ).

I recommend the second type , Where you can get benefit of higher speed & organized download as follow  :

è       Task 3 : 

     Use Multiple means to filter out irrelative and locate precise documents

Although the Search resulted about 651 result , I was in a very little distance apart from my target :

-          Click on ‘Software & Tool’ to filter my results :

-          Check the output , I still have one more information ( When my colleague said he used a version released on 2014 ) , Let’s do 1 more filter :

I like the quick access menu which pops on making a search... really cuts down on time to search and you can look at documents you werent thinking of in the first place...

Not too much before

Everyday i use support account to get various info. The overall experience by following the rules are given below:

 

1. I search for smartkit under fixed network under software and tools.

2. The result shows a lot of documnets including patch but no software (.exe) which may confuse beginner.

3. So it needs to be precise search which is done by left side menu_filter by document-> Mini-tool software.

 

So, it will be wonderful if search result conatin .exe as well as patch under software and tools search.
