Problem: ODU4_PM_DEG alarm at NS4 board of 100G DWDM Link

Findings:

1.       Link error analyzed and found normal. Bit error is within threshold

2.       No problem in optical power & OSNR level

3.       Link is 1+1 Diamond Electrical ASON enabled. Alarm appears in worker NS4 board

4.       When the worker link goes down. Then protection NS4 board becomes worker.

5.       And alarm disappear from previous ns4 board and now generates in new working NS4 board

6.      Then data analysis done for cross connection boards and found chip of the working cross connect board is abnormal

7.       Now switch the worker to protection cross connection board.

Solutions: Replace the problematic Cross connect board
