Would you please explain me why EGT2 board does not provide the feature of VLAN though it has similar GE ports like EGS4 board or EMS4 board. Whats the basic difference between them so that one could can carry VLAN and other doesnt.

If you are convenient, you could send me more details about your question. for example, your product(e.g OSN 3500)? version (e.g  V100R010C01)? and some original document you see some specifications about this board.

EGT2 board cannot add any VLAN. In NMS, there is no option add VLAN. Detail screenshot will be provided if necessary.

It supports transparent transmission which means no VLAN filtering capacity. I would be happy to know, whats the root cause that it cannot do VLAN filtering?

There are two types of ethernet boards and the EG4 is just transparent transmission one.
