We are having an issue with the feature of LPT(Link pass through) in different N4-EGS4 board version in OSN 3500/7500/7500 II devices.

In our network, we have two different version of N4-EGS4. These are 1.24 & 3.02. With the board version of 1.24 of N4-EGS4 allowing us to enable the feature of LPT in yes/no format but with 3.02 version it is not allowing us to select any LPT enable option. We have all NE Software version is V2R12 and I believe that should be ok with LPT feature requirement in OSN.

Would you please let us know how we can get LPT feature in 3.02 board version of N4-EGS4..This is getting very important for us and expecting to get the feedback asap.

Any versions of N4-EGS4 should be support LPT feature.

The NE software or U2000 NMS may be have a bug here, and you can connect Huawei engineer to trouble shoot it.

We have contacted with local support Engineer and we got the feedback as below which is also written in Hedex:

Steps to follow:

1. In the NE Explorer, select the Ethernet board and then choose Configuration > Ethernet Interface Management > LPT Management from the Function Tree. Click PtoMP LPT.
2. In the LPT Management window, click New.
3. In the Create LPT window, select Port from the Convergence Point pane, and set Hold-off Time (ms).

But my observation is that:

1. With the mentioned 3.02 version, after configuring the LPT as per local support recomendation, no way to see LPT enable/disable without the intervention of physical link break-down in access nodes. But in 1.24 version, it is clearly visible from NMS.

2. Also, we used here PtoMP LPT, but the service was actually Point to Point. In my sense, we shouldnt use that. If we should use that, so why dissimilarities found in 1.24 version.

I can provide detail screenshot of 3.02 version where LPT has no enable/disable option menu like in 1.24 version: such as given below:
