Problem: ODUk SNCP not switched

Network Scenario:  Let consider following network.

                           Worker Path:        A----D----C (A-D first OCh, D-C second OCh)

                           Protection Path:    A----B----C (A-C Direct OCh)

Here A source , C sink, D Regeneration Point(electrical cross connection)

Service running on worker path. Now fiber break at D-C OCh, but service not switched.

Findings: Configuration type SNC/I, hence when fiber break occurs Source A doesnt aware of the link failure.

Solution: Configuration type corrected to SNC/N instead of SNC/I. Due to SNC/N, path information is now carried by overhead bytes through out the link. Problem  is solved.

 SNC/I cannot be configured for signals if a regeneration site is used to regenerate the same level of signals.
