Sharing Experience: Cross connection in LOG board at OSN6800
|
I observed that if two LOG( for example LOG-A & LOG-B) is cross-connected in following ways RX1/TX1(LOG-A) connected to LP-8(LOG-B) RX2/TX2(LOG-A) connected to LP-7(LOG-B) RX3/TX3(LOG-A) connected to LP-6(LOG-B) RX4/TX4(LOG-A) connected to LP-5(LOG-B) then it is not possible to cross connect remaining unused RX/TX ports of LOG-A with remaining unused LP ports of LOG-B. hence you should be careful during this type of planning. It may be due to internal BUS limitation. Does anybody experience this type of thing? |

Hi tanjil: can you tell us what ports are used by SNCP protection. I knew all the unused ports can be used for cross-connection. |

Already faced this issue in our network, i thinks it is physical limitation of the backplan/electrical BUS or the board version itself maybe the issue will be solved with new board version with newer hardware |

Hi hudichang, this was the operation I performed more than two years ago during SNCP configuration. At that time local huawei expert also ensured me. Thats why I shared with you. |
