Once an issue reported by one customer that they observed optical nodes of BWS1600G visibility fluctuation. I checked all the possible causes that already known to me but did not find any solution.

I searched the possible causes on support web and at last I found one similar technical case that was new to me. In that case it was described that the BWS1600G node SCE board have software version V3 and the RAM is also small. Due to large number of ECC congestion the RAM processing full and the board reset frequently results in node visibility outage.

The possible solutions were either reduce ECC links or upgrade the hardware. We reduce the ECC links by DCN subneting and issue resolved.
