Thank you for your feedback.
You said that some capcaity specifications which cannot be meassured through counters or KPI formulas. That is because that the counters in Capacity Monitoring Guide is not the set of counters. If you want to search more counters, please see performance counter reference. The link is as follow:

Hello,

Thanks for you reply but those counters are not sufficient. We are talking here about KPIs and formulas to evaluate specifications of SPU/EGPU load. For example in the boards specification for EGPU we say that we support:

  • If the EGPUa board is used to process services on the GSM BSC control plane and user plane, it supports:
    • 1000 TRXs
    • 600 cells
    • 600 BTSs
    • 6250 Erlang
    • 3000 PDCHs
    • 2,200,000 busy hour call attempts (BHCAs), including PS traffic
  • If the EGPUa board is used to process services on the UMTS RNC control plane and user plane, it supports:
    • 2000 Mbit/s traffic (based on the 64 kbit/s uplink and 384 kbit/s downlink for a single user)
    • 10,050 Erlang (CS voice services)
    • 5025 Erlang (CS data services)
    • 1400 cells
    • 700 NodeBs
    • 35,000 online MSs (occupying DCHs, HSDPAs, or FACHs for control-plane services)
    • 28,000 online MSs (occupying DCHs, HSDPAs, or FACHs for user-plane services)
    • 1,668,000 BHCAs (based on Huawei SmartPhone traffic model)

However this is not quite "right". For example:

- You can overload the board with much smaller number of sites and cells as this board specification is based on some traffic model and there is no information what is this "default" traffic model used for the capcaity dimensioning

- there is no KPI or counter to show "online MSs" or "BHCAs"

So how to see whether this board specification is accurate/true and how to evaluate whether it is time for expansion of the hardware? Our documents need to be improved in this direction...

these are my favorite library documents:

BSC6900 UMTS Product Documentation

BSC6900 GSM Product Documentation

GBSS 14.0 Product Documentation

WCDMA RAN Feature Documentation

SEQ Analyst Solution Product Documentation

these are my favorite because i feel these are technically more sound and detailed that help me in everyday work. i am involved in project lots of time and hence i need to know end-to-end of these products, like from installation to acceptance and O&M.

In short these products are like a bible to me. :)

My favorite documentation is from Bookshelf called OSS Online Bookshelf. My
favorite document here is ATAE
V200R001C00. I have heard that Huawei has its own hardware
called ATAE and haven’t really known about it, but after reading this document I
have gained many knowledge on it. The link is http://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=SE0000727469&lang=en. The concept of Huawei online book shelf is awesome. Thanks

My favorite documentation is from Video Named Wireless Documentation

Link - http://support.huawei.com/carrier/docview?nid=DOC1000021461

From the video i learned how to search different kind of document.

What is Customer Documentation and how to use Customer Documentation thoroughly.

Now i got idea about the Customer Documentation.

In this video it about the Wireless Documentation. But i did understand its same for all.

It would be good if there a audio in this Video.

Thank you for your feedback. I agree with your suggestion and we will discusse your suggestion with the product engineers. If there is  a practicable plan, we will improve the product documentation.

Hi,

"Solutions Information Summary" is the best one that I have seen till today and I use "GSM" the most. The design and look is very decent and it easily features all the documents based on different scenarios in a single sheet. For a new/existing user, he can easily find the required document instead of searching the whole huawei support site.
