For me it?s better Product versions that support a feature because in that way I can see if the devices in my network can support a feature or if a software/hardware upgrade it?s needed!

I think its better to add it by feature.

Most of the times I need to see which is the minimum version I need in order to support an specific feature.

The other way around is what we have on the release notes...
