Dear admin,

One day I found that Loss of Ping Packets Occurs When the Low-Rate Line Profile Is Used in the MA5300. Actually I was not aware of the problem then I sent it to Huawei support website for their help & got my valuable feedback from them. Thanks to Huawei team.

Huawei Solution:

The test result shows that the ping operation fails when the payload of the ping packet exceeds 314 bytes, and a large number of packets are lost when the payload is about 310 bytes.

Through analysis, it is found that this symptom is normal. The major cause is as follow: When limitation rate is 32 kbit/s, the transmission rate of the board chip is low. Thus, each ping packet needs to be saved in the buffer of the board logic. When the packet exceeds the size limit, the logic buffer considers the packet exceeding the transmission capability and discards the packet. Then, packet loss occurs.

Configure a high-rate line profile. It is found that this problem is solved.

Thanks to Huawei team
