Dear admin,

One day I found that Loss of Ping Packets Sent Out of the Server. I did not understand the problem.

Then I sent this problem to Huawei support website  & got my success.

Huawei solution:

The ICMP threshold is too small, causing loss of ping response packets.

1. On the SIG management interface, adjust the ICMP threshold in the global traffic limiting policy to 100 MB.

2. The server can ping out without packet loss.

3. Check the max-rate setting for ICMP-Flood on the E8080. The max-rate setting is 150.

4. On the SIG management interface, adjust the ICMP threshold in the global traffic limiting policy to 20 MB.

5. Modify the max-rate setting for ICMP-Flood on the E8080 to 1000.

6. The server can ping out without packet loss.

When the system uses session rate limiting or first packet rate limiting, too small a max-rate value causes loss of packets sent out of the protected server. On the incumbent network, the rate threshold for the first packet should be adjusted based on the actual situation.

Thanks to Huawei team
