Site selection Diversity Transmission

SSDT (Site selection Diversity Transmission) implies only in SHO state

- In SHO, UE can be connected with several Node B

- In uplink, this is beneficial as it increases diversity

- In downlink, it increases interference as signal is transmitted from different source.

- SSDT solves the problem by selecting the best of the lot

- UE does the selection process.

- It helps sending closed loop power order from that cell only.
