Improvement Scopes in Support Website

1) My Messages Filter

 

When we go to the “Support > Group Space > Management Center>My Messages”, only 10 messages are shown in the page. Now we have the option to update the view by choosing 10/20/30/50 messages per page. Now the problem starts here – the filter goes back to the default 10 messages per page if the page is updated or refreshed. If we do any kind of operation (such as delete a few messages) the filter view goes back to 10 from your set view. Therefore, there should be some option available to choose the view settings or the system itself should remember our set settings.



 

2) Character Limit in Posting

 

The Group Space post supports content of a topic of maximum 8000 characters. We believe it is a bit low considering the fact that some posts demand a lot of technical detail. Hence, this limit should be increased to at least 1000 characters.

 


 

3) Positioning of Favorite Posts & Hot Posts

 

When we enter a Group Space, the favorite posts are found on the top of the page as the first page of that forum is loaded. However, when I go to the next pages, the favorite posts are no long on the top as the posts are loaded chronologically. That creates some problem as we have to scroll through the pages to find the favorite posts. What we propose is that – the favorite posts should always stay on the top for a certain time period so that everyone can see them and do not miss them out. We understand that there is a “Favorite Posts” tab and that is pretty useful, but our suggestions will help to highlight the posts even further.

 

Also, there should be another tab for “Hot Posts” alongside with “All Posts” and “Favorite Posts” tabs.

 

 

3) Option to Delete Un-Wanted Post

 

When we post some new topic, we usually press the “Submit” button only once. But sometime what happens is that the post is submitted multiple times – due to network issues or our own mistake. Once the same post is submitted multiple times, we cannot delete the copies of the post! Also, sometime we feel like taking out a post due to some issues. Hence, there should be an option to delete a post when we need to.

 

4) Tab to Check My Messages

 

There is no option to check my messages on the top page. There should be quick link to check if there are new messages. We could check our messages on the top right corner after we enter the Group Space. But we have to enter group space to check your messages! Why dont we put the "My Messages" tab on the top page? The moment we log in to Huawei support page well get to see the information about my messages.

 

5) Tab for iCare

 

There is no link for accessing Huawei iCare! We understand that not everyone will have access to iCare, but the link should be there for everyones convenience.

 --Ans: I think it is bug here. I created an internal ticket(0000177) for tracking. I will tell you the result later.

 

2) Character Limit in Posting

Answer 1: 

Three additional features that I liked about this new site are:

1. Group Space: Here we can join/ create group and discuss/ share knowledge on our field of concerns such as wireless network, A&S field, etc. This is really helpful to share ideas and issues.


2. Another important feature is My Space, especially the My To-Do option. This will allow us to keep some kind of reminders and calender events and allow us to continue the reading/ downloading the task when we are free or when we get time.


3. Another important option that I like is UseFul Link option - This allows us to directly go to the links which concerns us and this way it is simplified and easy to find the resources. 


Answer 2: 

1. The website need to have a menu option for Contact Form, using which the customers can send their feedback or query to Huawei. Customers who dont have Huawei account should also be able to post their query to huawei through this contact form option.

2. I would love to have a page where updates on latest project or latest products introduced by Huawei is provided. This could be image gallery/ articles, etc.

3. Also if Huawei can give a page in their website which can carry important facts about Huawei like company information, latest updates, etc.

----Ans: By now, only Group Space Admin can delete  any post. If you have some posts want to be deleted please contact with Group Space Admin or send me messages. 

Then I will deliver your requirement to Group Space development team, they will analyzing it.

 

Point 2.

----Ans: Im not sure what your mean of navigation link for all the product document which is given.

You can view all the product navigation on the home page.  Please see the screenshot. For example, if you click the product of GBSC then you can view the GBSC documents.
