I noted that in documentation there is no binding of characteristics to real modification of a board. For example, for a board of NS4 OSN8800 it is told that it supports also HFEC and SDFEC.

But actually it is two different boards of TN54NS4T01 (HFEC) and TN54NS4T11 (SDFEC). And programmatically they cant be rebuilt. Though references in documentation about it arent present. And in certain cases employees Huawei say that these modes change through U2000. In practice it not so.
Someone faced similar inaccuracies?

You can see two variants boards in NS4s Version Description in the latest document of V100R007C02 06.

This is a optimization because before that version there aret board variants description in the Hardware Description.

We will also consider adding this information in NS4 function and feature page.

In U2000, The board parameter FEC Mode ist required to config, and it can only be queried, because this parameter is decided by actul physical board automatically.

Nicely diagnosed, NS4 has multiple FEC modes, although they should be of same FEC modes to work.
