Do you know how many Bandwidth is recommended assure to Media and signaling signal in H.248?

This is the scheme that we are using. The equipment is MA5600T

This is a pure voip application, and the required bandwidth is mainly concerned with the codec type, the maximum required bandwidth is 64kbps when using the G711 lossless coding scheme.

In general, you can calculate the bandwidth by this formula without considering the convergence ratio.

Bandwidth =N * 64 kbps

The upstream bandwidth of OLT is at least 1Gbps, so you need not to consider the bandwidth issues for upstream direction.

Hi Kevin,

Thank you very much for you reply.

Customer we will use CVME boards (VDSL+POTS) as you say I need to consider the bandwidth for upstream direction for this reason I wanted to know what is the BW that we should assure to this service. When I estimate this BW I can calculate the BW to Internet.

According the information that you sent me: "Bandwidth =N * 64 kbps" it include Media+Singnaling, right?

Yes, little bandwidth is required for signaling, and is usually omitted.
