Definition

The Diameter Message Duplication service enables the signaling service processing system (SPS) to send a duplicate copy of Diameter messages that meet specified criteria to a dedicated service platform over the standard Diameter interface when it forwards the Diameter messages. Figure 1 shows the background for the Diameter Message Duplication service.

System Capacity

If the SPS is configured to duplicate all received Diameter messages and send a copy to a third-party device, the Diameter message forwarding performance decreases by 50%.
