Auxiliary Facility Box: I. Facility type There are two models for Auxiliary Facility Box, Common Auxiliary Facility Box with 40kA Lightning Protection Box and Heat-Exchanging Auxiliary Facility Box with 40kA Lightning Protection Box. II. Facility function Auxiliary Facility Box collects the auxiliary devices of mini BTSs into one box. One Auxiliary Facility Box can provide functions of cable distribution and power distribution to three mini BTSs at most. See below Table for its function description. Functions of Auxiliary Facility Box | Function item | Function description | Remarks | | Accommodate transmission equipment and provide transmission cable distribution and lightning protection functions | The Auxiliary Facility Box accommodates transmission equipment such as HDSL, microwave IDU, PDH optical transceiver and SDH and also provides lightning protection and cable distribution functions for the signal interfaces of the transmission equipment. | Optional | | Provide power supply to the transmission equipment | The Auxiliary Facility Box can provide -48V DC power supply to the transmission equipment. | | Provide heating module | When the transmission equipment works in cold area (the temperature is lower than -20?C), configure a heating module to the Auxiliary Facility Box to ensure that the internal temperature in the box meets the working requirements of the transmission equipment. | | Provide fan | When the heat consumption of the built-in transmission equipment is no more than 60W (sun radiation not taken into account), the Auxiliary Facility Box can reduce the average temperature inside and outside the box to 10?C below ( in the area whose altitude above sea level is 3000m below) by configuring fans to the box. | | Provide fiber splice unit | The fiber splice unit is used to connect pigtail fibers and optical fibers of the transmission equipment in the mini BTS or the Auxiliary Facility Box to meet the requirements of splicing and coiling fibers. | | Provide built-in lightning protection box | The Auxiliary Facility Box can provide built-in 40kA lightning protection box to provide safe and reliable electrical surge and sensitive lightning protection to the 220V single-phase low-voltage electrical equipment. | Mandatory | | Provide AC power distribution | The Auxiliary Facility Box can provide power distribution simultaneously to three mini BTSs at the maximum and can also provide power distribution for UPS. | Auxiliary Facility Box I.
