BTS Reparenting – GBSS
|
This feature was introduced in M2000 V200R010. The original CME release is GBSS CME V100R005. Summary: The CME provides a GUI guide so that users can perform BTS reparenting between differentBSCs. The BTS reparenting function adjusts neighbor relationships and ensures the relationships after reparenting consistent with those before reparenting. Benefits: The CME allows users to reparent BTSs in batches through a wizard. This improves BTSreparenting efficiency. Description: BTS reparenting is usually performed during network operation when telecom operators needto reconfigure the settings of the subracks, ports, and cells within the same BSC or between different BSCs. The purpose of BTS reparenting is to meet the requirements of network planning, network load balancing, or system capacity expansion. The main task involved in inter-BSC BTS reparenting is reconfiguring the parameters of the source BSC, target BSC, neighboring BSC, and reparented BTS. The CME provides the graphical BTS reparenting wizard, which helps O&M personnel complete inter-BSC BTS reparenting by performing specified operations. The CME automatically adjusts the neighbor relationships between the cells on the source BSC, target BSC, and neighboring BSC. It also automatically allocates the timeslots on the source BSC and destination BSC. Based on the configuration of the source BSC, the CME generates the default transport layer data file on the target BSC. Users can change the BTS attributes on the target BSC as required by using the file import interface provided by the BTS reparenting wizard. NOTE ? In this feature, the source and destination BSCs must be of the same SPC version.? A maximum of 50 BTSs can be reparented at one time. Enhancement: None Dependency: Excel 2003, Excel 2007, or Excel 2010 must be installed on the PC running the CME client.Users must purchase and install Microsoft Office in advance. |
