“[My 7th Success Story] Routes are not exchanging between two edge routers throu
|
Dear admin, one day I found that Routes are not exchanging between two edge routers through BGP.We check the BGP routing table of both routers PE02 & PE03 ,we found that they are learning all BGP VPNV4 routes in Network from RR except PE02 not learning Routes of PE01 and viceversa All other Client routers also learn routes of PE01 & PE02 . After that i visit Huawei Answer site & got my solution as below that was a great success for me: After analysis we found that router ID of both of them are same. In BGP routing protocol router ID of each node in network should be unique. In MPLS network we are using dynamic router ID so each router will take is loopback IP as its router IP and become unique but some router are upgraded with new version which have a bug in selecting router ID. It will take IP of managmenet interface as router ID,which was same, hence they are rejecting there routes |
