If multiple OSPF processes in the system import external routes using the import-route command, by default, Type 5 LSA does not carry the original cost value or calculate the link cost value. As a result, routing loops may occur on the external routes imported by OSPF. To prevent external routing loops, before OSPF imports external routes, run the default cost inherit-metric command to set cost values of the imported OSPF routes to the cost values carried in the routes.
