By default, the Multi_EXIT_DISC attribute (MED) value of a VPN route imported from OSPF is the OSPF cost value plus 1. After the vpn-instance-capability simple command is executed to disable routing loop detection, the MED value equals the cost value. The changed MED value affects BGP route selection results; therefore, load balancing fails.


Please note:When configuring multiple VPN instances on a multi-VPN-instance CE (MCE) device, routing loop detection must be disabled using the vpn-instance-capability simple command.
