I really don?t understand why would you install the 9800 in a OLA site, because it?s suposed that a OLA site only should amplify the optical signal not make add/drop of services. Maybe if you need to regenerate the signal you can use the 9800 as a regenerator node.

Dear Friend your answer is 100% valid. But in the manual of OSN9800 I read the configuration of OLA. Thats why I raised this question.

I think is not properly to waste a OSN9800 for OLA site, maybe for a specific case.

 Thank you for your share. For the product version of V100R001C01 and later versions, 9800 adds 9800 universal platform subrack. This subrack is an optical subrack, if we want to use 9800 in OLA site, we can choose this optical subrack, for the manual, it also introduces how to use this subrack in the OLA site.
