Hi Shisir,

Many thanks for your detailed response,  just to confirm, the "Operational Engineers" work together with the NMC monitoring engineers just with higher skills and only handle the alarms reported from NMC monitoring guys that cant solve, right? and they dont do on-site job, right?

Thanks and Regards,

Sarah

 Dear Sarah ,

please find my answer below:

1. NMC guys forward the alarm to central O&M directly once received.

2.  For the central O&M,  there is 2 different groups to handle the problems can be resolved within the center.

a) first one for central troubleshooting

b) second one for field support (if require)

Hi Sonam,

Many thanks for your response, may I know whether the ""NMC In charge Engineer" here is like the more advanced O&M engineers work in the NMC only handle the alarms, who dont monitoring alarms, or say there are 2 teams in the NMC, monitoring team and operational team who acctually handle the alarm?  Another question is, what the phisical verification mean? like to verify whether the alarm need to be handled or just an harmless one can be just left there?

Thanks and Regards,

Sarah

Dear Sarah:

Operational Engineers and NMC monitoring engineers are different persons. They are also sitted centrally in the country near to telecom operator head office  & receive all different type of problems. NMC monitoring engineers have some basic knowledge to rectify the alarm from remotely and they pass the major alarms to the Operational Engineers.

Operational Engineers are mainly located in the divisional site offices and they received the alarm from NMC guy. Normally, Operartion engineers are more skilled than NMC engineers to handle the alarms of the equipment either present on on-site or remotely.

Dear admin,

Here only one NMC and NMC incharge does everything like looks after NMC activities and also do his/her daily works in the office. Our NMC team report the alarms to the site incharge and to the NMC incharge and together we resolve the problem.

Physical verification

It means whenever alarm is generated the NMC staff verify the physical connectivity for that particular E1 and they do looping and check whether the connectivity in local is fine or not. As per that they inform to respective incharge.

Hope you got what I mean to explain and if you still dont get what I explained please let me know.
