The UMG8900 provides the Interconnect Border Gateway Function (I-BGF). With this function, the UMG8900, when working with the MSOFTX3000 that provides the Interconnect Border Control Function (I-BCF), enables transmission of Internet Protocol (IP) based audio, video, and data, facilitating the evolution from the circuit-switched (CS) domain to the IP multimedia subsystem (IMS).
