Non GNE Configuration of OSN Mux using GNE of Other Vendor Mux
|
I have a question regarding GNE and NON-GNE device scenario for OSN Huawei devices. Lets discuss in a real world scenario: Suppose in a station named dhaka, has already a mux named " A"is deployed of any model/version of a vendor (Ericsson/Alcatel/any other) is already established which is configured as a GNE and there is no other mux available, which we can say Stand-alone mux. The A mux is getting Gateway to the NMS server using RTN MW link since there is no fiber connectivity with other mux. The Now I have to deploy a huawei OSN 3500/7500 Mux there. So, to reduce the IP usage, I want to configure the huawei device as non GNE. But when I go for configuration level to declare it Non GNE, a GNE need to select. But since the GNE device is from other vendor device, it is not shown up in the menu and so the configuration is not possible. Now my question is that, why there is no compatibility between vendors to get Gateway from other vendor muxes. Does Huawei have any other features to resolve it. For any query, please let me know. |

Dear raihan, You could use Non-Huawei equipment for GNE and Huawei equipment for Non-GNE, and they coexisted in one net. Below is the solution, please try: Best wishes.
