What are feature-related documents? What do these documents contain?

Answer 

Feature documents are organized based on feature IDs or names so that customers can locate feature descriptions accordingly. Figure 1-1 shows the relationship between feature-related documents.

Feature List and Feature Description are pre-sales documents and define feature IDs and names. Network Impact Report and Feature Parameter Description are included in a HedEx package for feature documentation and are released with the version package on http://support.huawei.com.

• Network Impact Report (NIR): describes the impact of the new version on live networks and the impact of each new or enhanced feature on live networks. It helps users evaluate whether to introduce new or enhanced features.
• Feature Parameter Description (FPD): describes the working principles of features, configurable parameters, and the entire engineering guidelines. Figure 1-2 shows the organization of an FPD.
