1.Application Description

1) Service Description

If you need to locally deploy a site, locate the fault, or troubleshoot the BTS, you can perform O&M operations on the LMT. The LMT provides the following functions: MML command execution, alarm/event management, tracing management, monitoring management, and equipment maintenance.

The LMT is classified into built-in WebLMT and external WebLMT. A built-in WebLMT can be directly opened when you enter the BTS IP address in the address box of the browser. Before using an external WebLMT, you need to install an LMT application program on the local PC.

• The GBTS does not have an independent O&M channel. Therefore, O&M operations are performed on the BSC WebLMT. In this case, only a built-in WebLMT applies.

• eGBTS O&M operations are performed on the eGBTS WebLMT. If the eGBTS maintenance bandwidth is greater than 64 kbit/s, a built-in WebLMT is recommended. Otherwise, an external WebLMT is recommended.
