Before users or frontline engineers upgrade a patch version, patch notes help them better understand the patch, including patch integration problem resolving situation, patch installation impact, requirements for network elements (NEs), compatibility between patches, and patch update situation. This way, they can effectively evaluate the path and make necessary preparations between the upgrade.

2) Documentation Description  

Patch Notes for USN9810 or UGW9811 are mainly delivered in .doc format with the version patch to frontline engineers, and the frontline engineers provide them for the customer.

Patch notes describe the basic information about the patch, impact of patch installation, version requirements, resolved issues, and patch changes, and provide the paths for obtaining related product documents.

2. Highlights

For problems resolved in the patch, in addition to the problem description, problem impact, and solution, solution impact, patch notes also provide corresponding data configuration and verification suggestions, including prerequisites, networking, verification procedure, and expected results before and after the upgrade. This ensures that all problems resolved in the patch are verified in detail. In addition, frontline engineer can use the patch notes to support verification on the xx.
