The2-wire/4-wire conversion of the PSTN tends to generate electrical echoes in voice services, thus af fecting thevoice quality . The UMG8900 supports the echo cancellation (EC) function to guarantee the quality of voice services.

The maximum lengthof EC resources on the UMG8900 canbe specified. The64 ms EC resource is supported.
