1.     Have you used the bar code scanning tool?

Ans: Yes, its working fine and special thanks who has invented this tool.

2.     When do you want to use it?

Ans: It can be used for any equipment either is old or new. By using this, we can identify the equipment and its necessary configuration, characteristics etc.

3.     Which part of the scanning result is useful to you?

Ans: The information which is builted in the equipment discovering by the scanning tool are the most important part. Anyone who has limited knowledge about the equipment can be understand easily, either it can easily understand by the non-technical person also. Normally, Auditor can visit the site at time & can find the information using scanning tool.

4.     Where do you think the tool can be still improved in future?

Ans: You can improve tool by introducing the following feature in the bar code which can be shown by scanning tool:

• ·         Capacity details of capacity related boards
• ·         Link statistics of signaling boards
• ·         Interface types/availability of interface boards
• ·         Lifecycle of the equipment
• ·         Version of the equipment (Hardware & software installed in the equipment)
• ·         Troubleshooting analysis( Feedback from customer)
•           Q/A regarding the tools query

.....There are a lots of capacity boards. Pls mention board max capacity either it may earlang or link capacity.

• Link statistics of signaling boards - What is it? Why do you need it?

......Any type of links which contains the boards. It may H.248,SCTP,M2UA etc link & their utilization if possible. Its required to know the boards statistics.

• Interface types/availability of interface boards - You can find the front panel port in the detailed information. The interface types and connections are also included. Do you need something else than that?

.....I also need the quantity of interface types available in the board.

• Version of the equipment (Hardware & software installed in the equipment) - For hardware version, do you mean the PCB version of the board, such as Version B, Version C? For software version, do you mean in which software version the board can be used?

.......HW version: Ok which you have said. SW Version: Which SW version currently available in the board.

• Q/A regarding the tools query - Do you mean the FAQ about how to use this tool?

......It may everything.How to use the tool, any type of customers query about the tool etc.etc...
