For IP-IP Incoming Path This section describes the incoming path of the signaling transferred from the IP network to the IP network. Figure 1 shows the incoming processing path. http://localhost:7890/pages/31185837/04/31185837/04/resources/public_sys-resources/icon-note.gif NOTE: -
When the front board of the SEPU is the SBPU, the SEPU can be configured with the SHPU or SLPU. -
When the front board of the SEPU is the SBPE, the SEPU can be configured with the SHPE. This section takes the SBPU, the front board of the SEPU, for an example to describe the IP-IP incoming path. The VIEB provides FE interfaces to receive IP packets on the M3UA, M2UA or M2PA link over IP, and perform physical layer message processing. -
The VIEB transfers signaling messages to the SBPI through the internal physical connection, as the broken line path shown in Figure 1. -
Based on the local IP address, local SCTP port number, peer IP address and peer SCTP port number, the SBPI transfers signaling messages to the SBPU configured with the broadband connection through the internal Ethernet, as the broken line path shown in Figure 1. -
The SBPU performs SCTP and upper layer protocol message processing on signaling messages. IP-IP Outgoing Path This section describes the outgoing path of the signaling transferred from the IP network to the IP network. Figure 2 shows the outgoing processing path. http://localhost:7890/pages/31185837/04/31185837/04/resources/public_sys-resources/icon-note.gif NOTE: -

The SBPU analyzes the DPC and queries the route information. If the outgoing broadband connection is configured on the board, the SBPU transmits the signaling messages to the SBPI through the internal Ethernet, as paths (1) and (2) shown in Figure 2. Otherwise, based on the DPC, the SBPU transfers the signaling messages to the destination SBPU configured with the DPC broadband connection through the internal Ethernet. The destination SBPU processes the signaling messages and transmits them to the SBPI through the internal Ethernet, as path (2) shown in Figure 2. -
The SBPI performs MAC layer message processing on the signaling messages and sends the IP packet to the VIEB through the physical connection, as path (3) shown in Figure 2. -
The IP signaling packet is sent to the IP network through the FE interface on the VIEB, as path (3) shown in Figure 2. |
