This topic Classified into two brief categories;

  • Inter-Device Communication
  • System Capacity Feature

The service processing subsystem (also called host or foreground) is the core of the SG7000. It is composed of frames and interconnection devices. It is used to process signaling services and manage resources.

Inter-Device Communication

The communication of the SG7000 service processing subsystem includes the following four parts:

  • The boards communicate with each other through diversified buses and Ethernet exchange planes.

  • The frames communicate with each other through two LAN switches (LAN switch 0 and LAN switch 1). Each frame is connected to two LAN switches through two Ethernet cables.

  • The frames communicate with external network devices through Time-Division Multiplexing (TDM) interface or IP interface.

  • The host communicates with the BAM through two LAN switches (LAN switch 0 and LAN switch 1). Both the host and the BAM are connected to the two LAN switches through network cables.

System Capacity Feature

During the deployment, the capacity of the system depends on the number of frames and service boards. You can configure 1 to 16 frames based on actual requirements, which can ensure smooth expansion completely.
