1) Service Description

EPC Protocol and Signaling Analysis is intended for engineers to learn LTE communication protocols and the relationship between common product information measurement and service flows.

This document provides guidance on troubleshooting to help engineers quickly locate and resolve problems when exceptions related to error codes occur in a procedure.

2) Documentation Description

EPC Protocol and Signaling Analysis includes:

1. Service flow: describes some basic service flows, such as mobility management and session management, and product information measurement points in service flows.
2. Interface protocols: describes protocols over interfaces of NEs and messages between interfaces, provides in-depth introduction to interface signaling messages and key information elements (IEs) in the messages, and provides guidance on handling error codes of the interfaces in service flows.

Error Code provides descriptions about faults in GSM/UMTS servicesfrom the aspects of symptom, possible cause, locating method, and troubleshooting.

1. MM error codes: indicate abnormal procedures related to mobility management.
2. SM error codes: indicate abnormal procedures related to session management.
