MSC Pool is a network scheme that adopts the Iu/A-Flex technology. In an MSC Pool network, one RNC/BSC can be connected to multiple MSCs that form an MSC resource pool to share the resource of the core network.

A-Flex/Iu-Flex is a core technology adopted in the MSC Pool network to enable one RNC/BSC to be connected to multiple MSCs. It is defined in 3GPP TS 23.236.
MSC Pool is a group of MSCs serving the same BSCs/RNCs and sharing traffic. It is a networking mode.
