The UMG8900 can monitor and manage the resource boards withhigh power consumption in real time. When the resource usage is low , certain boards are automatically powered of for energy saving and emission reduction.

When service traffic decreases, the UMG8900 analyzes the history records and predicts the future tendency , and then determines topower off certain resource boards to reduce power consumption without af fecting services. If service traf fic and resource usage increase, the UMG8900 powers on resourceboards gradually to meet the requirementson media resources when service traf fic isheavy .
