yes, becouse if i know diference, I can contact huawei engineers to upgrade NE

Scenario 1 : Version difference is applicable in expansion projects, when we currently have few NE working in network and new have to inter-op so we need to know the version
Example : If My MA5600T version is V800R008C01 and i have to order new ONT or New card i need to check the difference
Scenario 2 : When a new service has to be provisioned we need to know if the feature is supported on the existing version or which version to upgrade
Scenario 3 : When we have to migrate service from one NE to another NE same model but different version.
2. Do you need to know patch version differences? How do you get patch version differences if you do not have any tools for the query?
Option 1 : Download Hexdex and check the feature list

Option 2 : Open Ticket with Huawei TAC and request the feature list for both versions

Please add few more options :
1. Software life cycle : will help to plan the upgrade for the outdated and not supported versions
2. Also the list should contain all the released software.
3. Please add version upgrade path, we should be asked to select source version and target version, automatically tool should show middle version etc
4. Need to have compatibility option, suppose i have ONT HG8245 V100R002, how to know which version will support this. Compatibility option we can select the User side device, board etc and based on that we should we get version info to support.

A) This is great tool. It is used when:

a) Querying about any feature(s) / Subfeature(s)  

b) Comparison is required b/w two different versions against feature(s) / Subfeature(s) supported by these version.

c) To get to know about what changes are made on a newer version as compared to old/existing version.

d) for making a decision during produt's version / board upgrade and to compare it's features and sub-features or just for the knowlegde.

2. Do you need to know patch version differences? How do you get patch version differences if you do not have any tools for the query?

A) Yes, it is important to know about it. If this tool was not available, I usually look for the updated HedEx / document on Huawei Support website or raising a query to the vendor's (Huawei) local representative to support to provide.

 - Before NE Upgrade we need to know whether the version support the desired feature
 - For new deployment we check version compatibility and recommended versions

 - Currently we check the Patch release notes but it very difficult to find.
 - if we have tool to compare the version and patch it will be better

* Add version compatibility check option as well like checking OLT = MDU version = U2000 version

* should have upgrade path, what software we have to request huawei when we are planning to upgrade our NE

1:You should use complete name like "Specification finder tool" or "Specification comparison tool".
2: Board names should be available in both section with selection tick mark option, that's allow use not to remember exact board name.
3:product image should be displayed along with comparison table.
