Question:

When any of the ONU subscribers under the OLT dials up,how to fix it

Solution:

1. Capture the packets at the user side

2. according to the captured packets, the terminal does not receive

the downstream PPP LCP protocol packet sent by BRAS.

Since the previous services are normal and the central office

personnel have checked the BRAS device, the upper-layer device

is not faulty. The OLT may do not process the PPP LCP

protocol packet properly.

3 Log in to the NE to find that the versions of the subscriber

cards in slot 4 and slot 5 are inconsistent with the versions of

the main control cards. Therefore, all the ONU subscribers fail

to dial up.

4 Update the versions of the subscriber cards

The root case of board failure:
There are many cause of board fail:
- Software error: Maybe the card not load the rigth version ,or version need to be upgrade, the version fail...
--> solution: Make a new software or new patch for the card
- Hardware: For along time operationing maybe fault some equipment in card,
And i sure that all the board fail because of electric lightning, some acces equipment normaly not have the best ground, but the lighning is always damage some boards and maybe fail some capacity or swich in card.
Or the wrong procedure of hardware maitenain.
