[O&M Master] New Issue - XPTU can't connect to BAM Problem Description
In our network we got 2 XPTU servers connected to on BAM server. During BAM replacement we face problem with interconnection of BAM server with these 2 XPTU servers. One of them was connected successfully but another one was in "Break" status. Handling Process
Before BAM replacement the software of OS, SQL and BAM server was installed according to the Hedex guide. All recommended patches of OS were installed, The connection between BAM and XPTU server was realized by dedicated LAN switch that was isolated from other networks. First of all we were needed to confirm the IP connection between BAM and second (Disconnected) XPTU server. The PING between BAM and XPTU server was normal. XPTU and BAM didn't have any antivirus software and Firewall also was disabled. During ***yze we have disconnect the first XPTU server that was in normal state and found that second XPTU server became connected. This gave us clue that the problem maybe related to the max number of allowed CP stations of BAM. By regedit inHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HuaWei\MSOFTX3000\XSman directory there is MaxCPCountfile which indicates the allowed number of CP stations on current server. We found that the value was set as "1". This was very strange because during installation of BAM server software we have set this parameter as "10".
Root Cause
Second XPTU server couldn't connect to BAM because the value of "MaxCPCount" inHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HuaWei\MSOFTX3000\XSman directory of registry was set as 1. Solution
To solve this issue the value of "MaxCPCount" was changed to "10". |
