I2000 is a Huawei product on the other hand Nagios or other platform are developed by community or company. FYI: i2000 is only for monitoring core network equipment inside of GSM/telco architecture!

So far i can understand for monitoring enterprise devices you should have to have a customise product like i2000. Nagios also can do that, but nagios is more likely covers everything but for enterprise network we need to have a specific on request tool which actually i2000 Manager does.

The billing core equipment are generally monitored by i2000.
It's a Huawei ATAE blade server in CentOS customised OS(Huawei) inserted in it.
