Q1) HOW CAN I DUMP/EXPORT OSS LOGS?

A1) It can be done by following the steps mentioned below:

1)Task Schedule > Task Management
2) In the task list of the Task Management window, select the log dump or export task type and task.
3) Double-click the log dump or export task.
4) In the Attributes dialog box, set the parameters on the Common Parameters and Extended Parameters tabs.
5) Click OK.

Q2) HOW IS DUMPING LOGS DIFFERENT FROM EXPORTING LOGS?

A2) The log dump function allows you to save logs as a file in the hard disk. The logs dumped to the hard disk are automatically deleted from the OSS database, preventing space insufficiency.

The log export function allows you to export OSS logs to a file for access. Exported logs are still saved in the OSS database.

Good FAQ on OSS. Dear faz, could you tell me what are you responsible for? And what's your daily work?
