1. TN12ST2 must be configured with TN13FIU03/TN16FIU01
2. FOA required at the receive end of the TN12ST2
3. Configure an FOA for short span at the receive end of the TN12ST2board to prevent overloading of the receive optical power.

Single fiber bi-directonal TN12ST2 without RAMAN BOARD

1. TN12ST2 must be configured with TN11SFIU01
2. Single fiber bidirectional OTDR direction, in manual mode only can be performed on a fiber with OSC board.
3. Automatic mode only supports 1511 nm single-ended OTDR detection. Single fiber bi-directional detection is not supported.
4. OTDR function is not possible without OSC board.
5. Configure an FOA for short span at the receive end of the TN12ST2board to prevent overloading of the receive optical power.


TN12ST2 with backward RAMAN BOARD

1. TN12ST2 and TN16FIU01 must be configured
2. OTDR detectio is supported for TN12RAU1 or TN12RAU2
3. TN12ST2 and TN12RAU1/2 can be used to perform concurrent OTDR detection at both ends of a single fiber.
4. Configure an FOA for short span at the receive end of the TN12ST2board to prevent overloading of the receive optical power.

TN12RAU1 or TN12RAU2 without ST2

12ST2--8800 and 1800 SIU interconnection

1. Interconnection between TN12ST2+SFIU on the Optix OSN 8800 and SFIU on the OSN 1800
2. TN12ST2+TN11FIU01 boards on the OSN 8800 are interconnected with SFIU on the OSN 1800
3. OTDR detection is only supported only on the Optix OSN 8800.
4. It is not currently supported on the Optix OSN 1800.

For 12ST2--8800 and 1800 SIU interconnection
Some modification is as follows
TN12ST2+TN11FIU01 boards on the OSN 8800 are interconnected with SFIU on the OSN 1800
