U2000 Client Does Not Display the Performance Menu When a License File That Contains Both Permanent and Temporary License Items Are Used
Keywords License, menu loss, permanent and temporary license items Case Information
Symptom When a user successfully logs in to the U2000, the Performance menu is not displayed. Then the user restarts the U2000 and logs in again. The Performance menu is displayed this time. However, after the U2000 keeps running for one to two days, the Performance menu fails to be displayed when the user restarts the U2000 and logs in again.
Problem Identification The U2000 does not support the license file that contains both permanent and temporary license items. Problem Locating Step 1 Checked client logs and found that the PMS license item LNSDCPASC02 fails to be obtained during PMS module initialization. As a result, the PMS module is not successfully initialized, causing a failure to display the associated menu. [Init-pms]7-8-2014 10:23:38 | DEBUG | com.huawei.pms.mainmodule.PerfModule | initialize() | begin initialize(), isLiecenOK = false isModuleOK = true [Init-pms]7-8-2014 10:23:38 | TRACE | LocalReferenceStore | register | Finished to initialize the module : pms, className: com.huawei.pms.mainmodule.PerfModule Step 2 Checked the license file used by the U2000 and found that the license file contains the LNSDCPASC02 license item, which is a temporary item for commercial use and has expired. In addition, this license file contains permanent license items.
The U2000 does not support the license file that contains both permanent and temporary license items. If such a license file is used, data parsing fails. ----End Solution Apply for a license file that contains either permanent or temporary license items for commercial use. Do not use a license file that contains both license items.
