Symptom Some customers produce data analysis tools that can automatically analyze operation and security logs dumped by the U2000. They want to analyze the operation and security logs within the recent period. Besides, they require the operation and security logs to be stored in the U2000 database for a long period so that any customers using the U2000 can query the latest operations. Problem brought by customers' requirements: Manual dump enables customers to analyze the latest operation logs. However, the logs within the recent period cannot be stored for a long time. Therefore, U2000 users cannot query the latest operations when needed. Overflow dump allows data analysis tools to analyze data. However, the U2000 cannot be accessed by any customer's tools. According to the customer feedback, other vendors can meet the requirements without deleting data in the database during data dump. Problem Identification U2000 function consulting Cause Analysis Function description: 1. The file interface export function in the Task Management window can meet customers' requirements. File interface export tasks are suspended by default, and they can export information such as alarms, events, and logs stored in the database without deleting the data from the database. 2. Logs in the database will be dumped when the overflow dump conditions are met. They cannot be always stored in the database. Suggestions and Summary It is recommended that overflow dump (including log, alarm, and performance data dump) retain the recommended default configurations. This prevents the database from being damaged or malfunctioning due to database space exhaustion by a large amount of stored data. 本帖最后由 w00171940 于 2015-06-15 11:45 编辑 |
