U2000 V200R15C10SPC230 installation on old SUN servers
|
Hi everyone! Will it be possible to install R15C10SPC230 on Sun T5220 or T5240 server? Is an installation discs exists for an "sun4v" processor architecture in these new release? I know that support for Sun M4000/M5000 ("sun4u" cpu architecture) will continue till R16, but didn't found proved information about older servers with "sun4v" cpus. Now we are running an U2000 V200R14SPC200 on T5220, it's enough for our test lab LTE Core with 24 NEs. |

I've found that Sun T5220 is mentioned in "iManager U2000 MBB Network Management System Product Documentation (Solaris10) Product Version: V200R015C10" in the "Description" >"U2000 System Hardware Configuration (Sun)" section of document and in the "Midrange Computers" section. But there is no such docs for R15C10SPC230 :( to check hardware list. |

Thank you for your feedback. We only support M4000 & M5000 server of Sun series from R015 version. For T5220 server, we recommend that you continue to use R014 version. For T5240 server, in our products do not support this type of server. If you have any further questions, please visit our website and submit a message on the relevant webpage. Thank you. |

Thank you for your attention to our documentation. Because this is a multi-version content public in the Description , so we reserved a few more versions. We will delete any description about T5220 server in the upcoming version of R015C10SPC250. If you have any further questions, please visit our website and submit a message on the relevant webpage. Thank you. |

Thank you for your feedback. But we have to upgrade USN to the V900R013C00 (( to keep lab relevant with production... If I stay U2000 on R14 will it work with USN NE of new release? Main thing we need is tracing abilities, "Signalling Trace Management" is a key feature for our test engineers. Any other stuff like routine maintenance or configuration I can do via LMT. |
