Definition

In network communication, information may be intercepted, modified, replicated, or retransmitted during the transmission. Communication encryption includes peer authentication, key negotiation, data compression and encryption. This ensures effective authentication and prevents information leakage and data breach. As a result, services can be properly carried out.

Benefits

The U2000 is connected to NEs through Ethernet or OAM interfaces, and remotely logs in the NEs to manage and maintain them. The U2000 and gateway use TCP/IP to communicate. The communication channel is encrypted by using the standard SNMPv3/SSL/SSH/SFTP/HTTPS, ensuring security. The U2000 and NE can be connected through a DCN, a direct network cable, a switch/router, or an access device. The encryption protocol, including SNMPv3, SSL, SSH, SFTP, and HTTPS, applied to the communication channel between the U2000 and gateway varies according to the network type.
